This is where sparks fly
We lathe, mill, drill, weld, grind, anneal, paint, test, mount, saw them and store them, in other words: we make the valves.
What ever the others think up, we make it reality!
The latest machinery and equipment such as machining centres, heavy-duty lathes and annealing ovens help us do this. The way we work is characterised by close contact to our partners and logistics that mainly take place internally.
Precision manufacturing
The production department occupies a space of 6800 m² and employs around 100 staff and 10 apprentices.
They are all trained specialists, or learning how to become one. Many of them were apprenticeships here and have been working at Welland & Tuxhorn for many years. It’s not unusual for people to have worked here for 45 years. We place great emphasis on self-reliance, responsibility and flexibility at work. This creates a working atmosphere where all the units involved in work preparation and production operate as smoothly as cogs in a machine,
ensuring that we meet our deadlines and work to the highest levels of quality.
The team trumps everything
Production also includes production planning and management, as well as pressure tests and leak tests.
Our vertical integration means we are able to make all the components ourselves. This means that particularly in urgent cases, we can supply spare parts at very short notice.
Of course, we’re also team-mates outside of work. Whether it’s football, cycling, canoeing or running – it’s easier together.
